LSU (5-3, 3-2 SEC) enters the contest riding a two-game Southeastern Conference winning streak and is trying to win four SEC games in Tiger Stadium for the first time since 1988.
Alabama is coming off a heart-breaking loss to Central Florida on Homecoming in Tuscaloosa last weekend. However, the Tide has not lost in Tiger Stadium since 1969, posting a 14-0-1 mark in that time span.
Alabama head coach Mike Dubose was told that he would not be returning to coach the Tide in 2001 on Wednesday. However, he will complete the 2000 season.
