BATON ROUGE — The LSU-Ole Miss football game has been selected by ESPN2 for nation-wide broadcast on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. CST, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday afternoon.
This is the second time that LSU has played on ESPN2 this season and the seventh in school history. LSU has a 3-3 record on “the Deuce” including a thrilling 45-38 overtime victory over Mississippi State on Oct. 21, 2000, in Tiger Stadium.
LSU and Ole Miss were only publically televised one time in the 1990’s, on Oct. 18, 1997, by Jefferson Pilot. Ole Miss won 36-21. This is the 15th time that the series has been televised dating back to LSU’s third televised game in 1960.
This is the seventh LSU football game of the 2000 season that has been selected for broadcast. LSU and Arkansas, the final game of the regular season, will be televised by CBS on Friday, Nov. 24.
Other televised games around the SEC on November 11 include: Alabama at Mississippi State at 11:30 a.m on Jefferson Pilot, Arkansas at Tennessee at 11:30 a.m. on Jefferson Pilot, South Carolina at Florida at 2:30 p.m. on CBS, and Georgia at Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
