BATON ROUGE — The LSU football team continued its preparations for ninth-ranked Florida with a two-hour practice on Wednesday at the LSU Practice Facility.
The Tigers, who are coming off a 38-31 overtime win over 11th-ranked Tennessee on Saturday, will practice again on Thursday before leaving for Gainesville on Friday afternoon.
“I’ve been pleased with the way the players have practiced this week,” LSU coach Nick Saban said. “This is a different type of preparation for us. It’s take a lot of attention to detail. This is the time of year that the players need to get over the hump, when you get into that fifth and sixth week.
“The bumps and bruises start to accumulate and the game plans start to get harder and harder to digest relative to the concentration.”
Saban said that both Rohan Davey and Josh Booty practiced on Wednesday, the first time in which both quarterbacks have practiced together since last week.
“Rohan? and Josh both practiced and that’s the first time we’ve had both of them on the field together in a while,” Saban said. “I thought we did a good job of throwing the football today.”
Kickoff for Saturday’s game in Gainesville is set for 11:30 a.m. CT and the game will be televised by Jefferson Pilot Sports.
