BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — LSU junior defensive end Jarvis Green will be featured this week as the SEC Good Works Team Player of the Week on this weekend’s Jefferson-Pilot Sports telecast of the LSU-Florida contest.
The Donaldsonville, La. native, is an active participant in the CHAMPS Life Skills Program. He reads to children several times a year at local elementary schools and has visited sick children at local area hospitals.
Green has also helped raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network the last two years and has participated in Jail-N-Bail fundraiser for the March of Dimes.
Green is in his third year as a starter on LSU’s defensive unit and currently ranks in the top 10 in LSU history in sacks with 15.
