BATON ROUGE — The LSU football team underwent its third practice of the week on Wednesday in preparation for its match up with 11th-ranked Tennessee this Saturday in Tiger Stadium.

LSU is coming off a 13-10 loss to UAB on Saturday, while Tennessee posted a 70-3 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

“The players are responding this week the way I would hope they would,” said LSU coach Nick Saban. “Everyone has come out with a good attitude of working hard and improving.”

Josh Booty, Rohan Davey, Craig Nall and Matt Mauck all continued to receive reps with the first and second teams as Saban and his staff continued their evaluations leading up to Saturday.

“All four guys worked well today and have all week,” said Saban. “We still haven’t made a decision (as to who will start). We are looking to put the player who can perform within the system the best for us.”

LSU will meet Tennessee on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in a game that will be nationally televised by ESPN.
