BATON ROUGE — The LSU football team practiced for just over two and a half hours on Wednesday as it continued to prepare for its Southeastern Conference opener against Auburn.
In practice, head coach Nick Saban stressed the importance of being mentally prepared to go on the road in the SEC to his team.
“Auburn has a good football team and they are going to have their spirited crowd there,” said Saban. “It is going to be important that we stay together and stay focused as a team.”
Wide receiver Abram Booty (thigh) and offensive lineman Bob Wynne (neck) missed practice and are considered day-to-day.
The Tigers will practice again on Thursday before leaving for Auburn on Friday afternoon.
LSU meets Auburn on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. The game will be nationally televised by ESPN for the fifth consecutive year.
