Duncan In Third With One Round to Play

ULSTER, Ireland — LSU All-American golfer Meredith Duncan continued to have a good showing on the Irish links of the Castlerock Golf Club here Thursday as she stands in third in the individual competition of the eighth World Student Golf Championships.

Along the way, her American teammates made a strong move to second in the team competition, trailing only Great Britain entering Friday’s final round.

Duncan stands at 6-over par for the 54-holes after shooting a 1-under round of 71. She is one shot out of the second place 5-over par score of Kristin Dufour of the University of Texas. Angie Yoon of the University of Nevada is in a tie for third at 7-over.

Great Britain is being paced by the tournament leader, Laura Moffat, who posted her third consecutive sub-par round of the event and now stands at 7-under par after 54 holes.

The British team also leads the men’s competition heading to the Friday’s final round.
