BATON ROUGE — LSU head basketball coach John Brady, who was given a contract extension and pay raise by LSU on Friday, issued his appreciation and dedication to the Tiger program today.
“I was out of town on family business when the Board of Supervisors was kind enough to endorse my new contract last week,” Brady said. “So I’ve been remiss in expressing my appreciation to LSU, to our great fans and everyone who has supported us the last three years. They have been with us, literally, through thick and thin.
“Joe Dean gave me an opportunity that few people would have given me at this level,” Brady said. “He had faith in me and that is something of which I will always be appreciative.
“We reached some great heights this year, but the journey is still just beginning. We are committed to see this project through the scholarship limitations that were handed to us three years ago and we will continue to build this program into the kind of program that our fans deserve.
“My family and I thank the people of Louisiana for taking us in, for making us a part of the LSU family, and we look forward to all of us working together to keep moving this program in the right direction.”
