BATON ROUGE — LSU will play host to an NCAA Super Regional Tournament this weekend, playing UCLA in a best two-out-of-three series at Alex Box Stadium beginning Friday at 7 p.m.
The winner of the Super Regional will advance to the College World Series at Omaha, Neb., June 9-17.
The Tigers will meet the Bruins at Alex Box Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday, with a third game to be played at 1 p.m. on Sunday if necessary.
It is the first Super Regional Tournament to be played at Alex Box Stadium. Last year, LSU traveled to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama in the first year of Super Regional Tournaments for the NCAA.
LSU season ticket holders have until Wednesday at 5 p.m. to buy their tickets for the Super Regional, and all remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at 8 a.m. Thursday. The LSU Athletic Ticket Office is open daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Tickets for the Super Regional will be $35 for gold and purple chairback seats, $30 for grandstand seats and $25 for bleacher seats.
