BATON ROUGE — An LSU dean and a University vice provost have been named honorary head coaches for LSU’s annual Spring Football Game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium. Meanwhile, LSU senior players have conducted a draft to divide the squad for Saturday’s game.
Karl Roider, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, will coach the Purple Team while Greg Vincent, Vice Provost for Diversity, will head up the White Team.
Roider and Vincent will be assisted by coaches selected from newspapers throughout the state.
Roider will be assisted by Dave Moormann of the Alexandria Town Talk, Chuck Corder of the LSU Daily Reveille and Scott McKay of Purple and Gold Magazine.
Vincent will be assisted by Scooter Hobbs of the Lake Charles American Press, Scott Ferrell of the Shreveport Times and Greg LaRose of Tiger Rag Magazine.
