Five Lady Tigers Named to SEC Honor Roll

BATON ROUGE — Five members of the LSU women’s tennis team were named to the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll this week.

“We are extremely proud of each the girls that were honored,” said LSU head coach Tony Minnis. “They have dedicated themselves to both the team and their school work this season, and they deserve the honor.”

The five Lady Tigers that received the award were sophomores Tami Botts and Kelly Craycraft, juniors Fernanda Tsucamoto and Mandy Rice, as well as the lone senior on the team, Ana Paula Mores.

The five SEC Academic Honor Roll members along with the rest of LSU’s women’s tennis team will compete Thursday in the opening round of the SEC Tournament. The 10th-seeded Lady Tigers face seventh-seeded Arkansas at 10:30 a.m.
