BATON ROUGE – The No. 9 LSU Tiger softball team will face the No. 24 Florida Gators in an Southeastern Conference double header this Friday at 5 and 7 p.m. at Tiger Park.
“We have been working hard physically and mentally to prepare for this weekend,” said head coach Glenn Moore. “We are learning from our mistakes and correcting them to make ourselves better. Florida has a good team, and we will have to play our best this weekend.”
LSU is 23-7 for the season and 3-1 in SEC play following a soggy weekend against Auburn. Florida is 28-12 at this point and has split in SEC play 2-2.
In the overall series, LSU and Florida have split 3-3. In 1999, LSU defeated Florida at home in both game of the double header.
