Following big conference wins against Auburn and Ole Miss last week, the LSU Tigers’ Men’s Basketball squad was rewarded with a #10 ranking in the latest AP Poll released Monday. It’s the first time the men’s team has been ranked in the Top 10 since a #9 ranking on November 25, 1991.
The Tigers also moved up in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll, jumping from #16 last week to #11 in this week’s voting. The team finished the regular season with a 25-4 record, including a 12-4 mark in SEC play.
LSU will resume play as the #1 seed from the SEC West in this week’s SEC Tournament in Atlanta, GA. The Tigers will face the winner of Thursday’s Mississippi State – Vanderbilt game on Friday at 2:15 CST. LSUsports.net will provide live audio of the game.
