No. 12 LSU vs. Ole Miss Moved to 1 p.m. For TV

BATON ROUGE — The starting time for Saturday’s LSU-Ole Miss men’s basketball game has been changed to 1 p.m. to allow for television coverage by JP Sports.

The game was chosen Monday as the “Wild Card” telecast which JP is allowed on the final weekend of the season.

The contest is the final game of the regular season for both teams and will be the final home game for LSU senior Jabari Smith, who will be honored in pre-game ceremonies beginning Saturday, at approximately 12:45 p.m.

In addition to the time change, the LSU men’s basketball team continued to climb in the rankings this week, jumping three spots in the Associated Press Top 25 to No. 12 while moving up one spot in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches’ Poll to No. 15.

The No. 12 ranking is the Tigers’ highest since Nov. 15, 1991.

LSU plays at Auburn on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in another game televised by JP Sports.
