BATON ROUGE – LSU softball player Ashley Lewis was named the Southeastern Conference player of the week for her performance in the Purple and Gold Challenge.

“Ashley has made a couple of adjustments in her swing and is working very hard,” said assistant coach Mark Lumley, who works with the hitters. “Her hard work paid off when she came through in the clutch against Southern Miss.”
