BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — Although the first day of the Bridges All-American Intercollegiate tournament was delayed for 90 minutes due to morning fog, the LSU men’s golf team took a one-stroke lead over Alabama-Birmingham and a three-stroke lead over Georgia State Monday.
The Bridges All-American is the Tigers’ first tournament of the Spring 2000 season. LSU is the defending champion of the 18-team tournament.
The Tigers shot a 1-under par 287 to lead the tournament through 18 holes. Thirty-six holes were scheduled for Monday, however play was suspended early due to darkness. Players will complete their second rounds Tuesday morning, and, after a short break, final round action will resume.
