BATON ROUGE, LA.–The LSU men’s golf team, fresh off its best finish of the season last weekend at the Bridges All-American, travels to Gainesville, Fla., this weekend to take part in the SunTrust Gator Invitational.
Four Tiger golfers finished among the top-20 overall at the Bridges, led by senior Mike Vallillo and junior Alan Morgan, who tied for 9th overall.
The tournament will be played at the 6,300 yard, par 70 University of Florida Golf Course.
The Tiger’s lineup in Gainesville will include senior All-SEC Jeremy Wilkinson (74.0 stroke average), junior Alan Morgan (73.8), Craig Taylor (74.0), senior Mike Vallillo (75.1), and redshirt freshman John Humphries (75.8)
Joining host Florida in the field will be Alabama, Augusta State, Central Florida, Georgia State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Florida, Ohio State, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
The tournament will be played in 54-hole format, with 36 holes on Saturday, followed by the final 18 to be played on Sunday.
