BATON ROUGE — Corey Webster of St. James High School has signed a national letter of intent to play football at LSU, it was announced Monday.
Webster, a 6-0, 180-pound defensive back from St. James, La., is LSU’s 27th signee.
An honorable mention selection to the Class 3A All-State team, Webster is an exceptional two-sport athlete in football and basketball. He led his team to a 32-8 record in three years at St. James as a quarterback, passing for more than 1,000 yards and rushing for more than 500 yards with 10 touchdowns.
In basketball, Webster averaged more than 20 points per game during his junior season and is averaging more than 24 points an outing this season.
