BATON ROUGE — Ticket books for the 2000 Southeastern Conference men’s basketball tournament are presently on sale at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office.
The event is scheduled for March 9-12 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.
Ticket books are $180 and include covers all sessions of the tournament, beginning with four games on Thursday (March 9) and continuing through the Sunday (March 12) championship contest. Tournament books can be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or by phone at 225-388-2184.
The men’s basketball team will play twice at home this week, facing Arkansas at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and a special Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. contest with nationally-ranked Arizona. Tickets for both games are available at the LSU Athletic Ticket Office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Assembly Center box office will be open at 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the Maravich Assembly Center prior to the Arkansas game and at Noon before the Arizona game. Tickets are $10 each.
There will be no television for either game in Louisiana with the Arizona game televised only in the state of Arizona on Fox Sports Arizona.
During halftime of Wednesday’s game with Arkansas, famed Houston Rockets mascot Turbo will return to the Assembly Center to entertain the crowd with his high-flying antics.
