BATON ROUGE — Stromile Swift blocked a potentially-tying three-point basket and Brian Beshara made one of two free throws with 14 seconds left to break LSU’s three-game SEC losing streak and give the Tigers a 61-57 victory Wednesday night in the PMAC.
LSU improved to 14-3 on the season and 2-3 in conference play, while Georgia fell to 8-9 and 1-4 in the SEC.
The Tigers and the Bulldogs each shot poorly, hitting 39 and 42 percent respectively.
There were more than 9,900 paid Tiger fans tonight.
Stromile Swift led the Tigers with a double double — 15 points and 11 rebounds.
