BATON ROUGE – – The LSU women’s swimming and diving team will host Houston and Louisiana at Monroe in a double-dual meet Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. in the LSU Natatorium. The Lady Tigers are 1-0 on the season after Saturday’s meet against Arkansas where they won handily 176-115.
“We’re really looking forward to Friday’s meet,” said head coach Rick Meador. “Houston and ULM will both be good competition for our girls, and hopefully our team will perform the way that they did against Arkansas.”
Louisiana at Monroe is coming into the meet with a 1-2 record. In their opening meet the Indians defeated Oachita Baptist, but were then swept in a double-dual meet against Alabama and Georgia So.
Saturday’s meet is Houston’s first meet of the season. The Cougars finished their 1998-99 campaign ranked 33rd in the nation with a 6-8 record.
The meet between the LSU Lady Tigers, the ULM Indians, and the Houston Cougars will begin at 4 p.m. in the LSU Natatorium.
