BATON ROUGE — The LSU softball team concluded the first day of the Collegiate Classic with a 3-1 record on Saturday. LSU beat Louisiana College, 6-0, in the first game at Tiger Park. Tiger pitcher Britni Sneed had 10 strikeouts against Southeastern.
Games Two and Three were played at the Student Recreational Center fields.
During the second game, Shaunte Fremin had a home run, and LSU defeated Nicholls 9-2.
In Game Three, McNeese beat LSU 3-1. Tiger pitcher Ashley Lewis had five strikeouts against McNeese.
LSU played the last game of the day at Tiger Park, defeating Okaloosa Walton Community College 7-2.
The Tiger softball team will play Bossier Parish Community College at 10 this morning at Tiger Park Northwestern State will play Nicholls at 10:00 a.m. at the Student Recreational Fields. The winners of Game 1 will then play at noon at Tiger Park with the losers playing a consolation game at the Student Recreational field.
