BATON ROUGE — A three-run home run by Kristen Hobbs in the bottom of the sixth inning led the LSU softball team to a 6-4 win over Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference series finale on Thursday night at Tiger Park.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 20-14 on the season and 4-11 in SEC play, taking the conference series after the pair split a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Lady Razorbacks dropped to 14-30 overall and 1-16 in league action.
With LSU trailing 4-3 in the sixth and runners on first and second, Hobbs nailed a 1-1 pitch over the left field fence to give the Tigers the lead for good. It was the first home run of the season for the sophomore catcher and the second of her career.
