2025-26 LSU Basketball Emcee Search

LSU Athletics is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to serve as the in-game host and emcee for the 2025-26 LSU Women’s and Men’s Basketball seasons.

This position plays a key role in enhancing the overall game day environment for student-athletes, coaches, and Tiger fans by delivering a high-energy and engaging experience.

This is not a full-time position and will be paid on a per game basis. Rates will be determined based on experience and time commitment for each sport/event. To be considered, applications must be submitted by Friday, September 26, 2025.

Interested candidates must email a resume and a sample audio recording to promotions@lsu.edu. Please include “LSU Basketball Emcee Application” in the subject line. Any submission that fails to complete these instructions will not be considered.

As part of the application, candidates are required to submit a video of themselves reading a sample script performing it as they would during an actual game.

Utilize this Sample PA Script for audio recording submission and attach to your email. Applicants are also encouraged to include any relevant video clips or links that demonstrate prior experience emceeing or hosting live events.

Finalists will be invited to participate in an in-person interview and live audition. An additional sample script will be provided in advance for the audition portion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Confident vocal and on-camera presence with clear enunciation and the ability to engage large audiences
  • Prior experience as a public address announcer, emcee, or in-game host at the high school, collegiate, or professional level is preferred
  • Strong understanding of NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball, including game flow and basic rules
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Strong, engaging personality that complements LSU’s game day traditions and reflects the sportsmanship expected at the collegiate level
  • Must arrive at least 90 minutes prior to tip-off for all assigned home games and participate in pre-game production meetings
  • Expected to be available for a minimum of 90% of LSU Men’s and Women’s home basketball games
  • Open to receiving feedback and direction in a professional and constructive manner
