Tameka Warren
Tameka Warren joined the LSU Sports Medicine Department in July 2025 as an Athletic Training Intern working with the track & field program.
Warren earned her bachelor of science in kinesiology with a concentration in sports science from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2021. She went on to complete her master of science in athletic training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, graduating in 2025.
During her time as a graduate student, Warren gained valuable clinical experience working with Texas Tech University’s track & field program, which earned Big 12 Championship titles in both the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor seasons. She also worked with the men’s and women’s basketball programs and the track & field program at Lubbock Christian University. In the fall of 2024, she completed a clinical immersion with the University of Texas football program.
Warren is certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association (SWATA).
She enjoys building LEGO sets, traveling, going to the movies, and spending time with her two dogs Maverick and Dodger.
