Patrick (PJ) Odom joined the LSU Athletics Creative Services staff full-time in 2016 after working at North Carolina State University from 2007-16.
Odom began his career at North Carolina State University as a media specialist from 2007-2012 and was promoted to Art Director of Creative Services & Brand Strategy in 2013.
In 2016, he moved to Baton Rouge with his family to pursue the role of graphic design manager with LSU Athletics, focusing his role on the creative and visual direction for digital, social, print, and web for all 16 sports. His first large project was the UI/UX redesign of LSUsport.net, the homepage for LSU Athletics. He also oversees the recruitment and training of the student staff and helps to direct the project management of all projects.
Odom brings a vast variety of experience to LSU Athletics with nearly 15 years in marketing, advertising, web, and creative content/design. His work has spanned multiple industries including sports, education, and business. He has won several American Advertising Awards (ADDY Awards) with both creative teams at NC State and LSU.
Odom earned a bachelor of arts and science in December of 2005 and a master of education in instructional technology in May of 2007, both from Mississippi State University. He is currently pursuing his master’s in sport management from Louisiana State University. The Ocean Springs, Ms., transplant and his wife Amy have two children, Adeline and Hayden.
