Nick Macano Season 2026
Nick Macano joined the LSU Strength and Conditioning staff in the fall of 2025 and oversees strength and conditioning for Track & Field.
Prior to LSU, Macano was an intern at the University of Florida, and got hired on to be an assistant strength and conditioning coach while completing his masters in applied physiology and kinesiology. In his time in Gainesville, Macano helped with swimming and diving, volleyball, women’s soccer, spirit squads, gymnastics and track & field, including helping with the 2024 National Championship for Florida’s Track and Field program.
While competing his bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Marywood University, Macano worked in the private sector of strength and conditioning, working with a variety of athletes in different sports. He also served as a strength and conditioning intern for the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL for the 2021 season.
Macano is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (NSCA). He also holds his USAW Level 1 certification and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
Macano is originally from Macedon, New York.
