Morgan Acosta
Morgan Acosta serves as LSU’s Director of Performance Nutrition for the football program. She was promoted to her current role in January of 2025.
Now in her second season with the Tigers, Acosta joined the program in February of 2024 as assistant performance dietitian working alongside Dr. Matt Frakes.
Acosta, a Baton Rouge native, graduated from LSU in 2020 with a degree in nutrition and dietetics. She earned her master’s degree from Samford University in nutrition in 2021.
Prior to her arrival on the LSU staff, Acosta served as a sports nutrition fellow at Ole Miss for one year. She worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an out-of-season intern for five months in 2022 after a brief stint as a sports nutrition dietetic intern at Kentucky.
Acosta played college softball at Harding University for two years (2016-17) before continuing her education at LSU.
She’s a registered dietician (RD), earning the accreditation in February of 2022.
