Matthew Morgan Season 2020-21

Matthew Morgan is entering his third year at LSU after joining the staff in January of 2022 as a physical therapist and athletic trainer for the department of athletics.

Prior to LSU, Morgan spent the previous nine years serving as a physical therapist at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. Morgan has worked as an outpatient, orthopedic physical therapist since 2000, and he has moonlighted as an athletic trainer at various events during that time. Morgan completed his undergraduate degree at Centenary College, attended LSU for his Master’s in Physical Therapy, and obtained his transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy from Evidence in Motion.

Morgan is a Louisiana native having lived throughout the state during grade school and high school. He is a board certified athletic trainer and member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. He is also a board certified Sports Clinical Specialist and member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Morgan is married to Taryn Morgan, and they have two boys (Dax and Zane).
