Mary Lane Season 2026

Mary Lane joined the softball staff as the Director of Operations in September 2024.

Before coming to Baton Rouge, Lane spent 17 years as an NCAA Track and Field coach, primarily as a jumps and multis coach.

Lane last coached at South Alabama from 2023 to 2024 but also at Louisville (2022-2023), Illinois (2021-2022), Illinois State (2017-2021) and Gardner-Webb (2007-2014).

Lane, a native of Lincoln, Ill., competed as a pole vaulter at Eastern Illinois before graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Art: History, Social Science and Education. She received a Master of Art: Sports Science and Pedagogy from Gardner-Webb in 2009.

Lane resides in Baton Rouge.
