Luke Ashley

In 2024-25, Luke Ashley enters his second year with LSU Athletics as a student worker for the Communications department.

A native of New Orleans, La., Ashley was hired as volunteer intern in May 2023 and gained varied experience working at several sporting events throughout the athletic season.

In February 2024, he became the softball team’s student communications assistant. In this position, Ashley aided the primary SID with writing player bios and game recaps, distributing game programs and in-game clippings, navigating the record book, and assisting with press conferences.

He earned more responsibility and became the primary contact for the women’s tennis team in June 2024. In this role, he oversees the team’s communications needs, including developing and implementing social media strategies, crafting press releases, and acting as the main point of contact for media inquiries related to the program.

A rising senior at LSU, Ashley is on pace to graduate in May 2025 with a bachelor’s in sports administration with a concentration in sports commerce.
