Julie Cribbs is the Director of Game and Event Management at LSU, having joined the athletics department in 2006 as the Coordinator of Game and Event Management. Cribbs was promoted to her current roll in 2018 after previously serving as the Associate Director of Game and Event Management for seven years. Prior to that, she was Assistant Director of Game and Event Management from 2008 to 2011.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Cribbs currently serves as the primary game operations manager for men’s basketball and softball and secondary for football. She is also the event manager for the Tiger 10K Race into Death Valley. Previously she functioned as the game manager for indoor and beach volleyball, gymnastics and women’s basketball and secondary for Bayou Country Superfest for seven years. She has served as the tournament director for numerous NCAA and SEC Championships that LSU has hosted.

In addition, Cribbs oversees all aspects of event security and is a member of the LSU Events Security and Safety Committee. She is responsible for facility scheduling and planning the department’s master schedule for all facilities.

She is a member of Women Leaders in College Sports, National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) and the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA), where she has served on the board of directors since 2017 and is currently the second Vice President. She has served on multiple committees and presented several times as a guest speaker and moderator at the NACDA Fall Forum and National Convention and is currently a member of the NCCA Beach Volleyball Committee.

Cribbs is a 2008 graduate of the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative Advancement and 2018 Leadership Enhancement Institute graduate. She was the 2015 recipient of the CEFMA Customer Service Award and 2017 Women Leaders National Convention Scholarship Recipient.

Prior to 2006, Cribbs attended the University of Iowa and was a graduate assistant in the Event Management Department. From 1999 – 2002 she acted as an assistant coach and head coach for field hockey and lacrosse at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA and Hanover College in Hanover, IN.

Cribbs earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts with a major in kinesiology in 1995 from Hanover College and is currently enrolled in the sport management master’s degree program at LSU.

Julie and her partner, Jaime Blanchard, reside in Baton Rouge with Noah, their great dane and two bulldogs, Frankie and Millie.
