Joseph Evangelista
Joseph Evangelista joined the LSU Sports Medicine Department in June 2024 as an Athletic Training Intern working with the track & field program.
Evangelista earned his bachelors of science in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas in 2020, while also working with the Razorbacks soccer team in its an undergraduate athletic training program. He completed his master of athletic training at Arkansas in May 2024.
During his time as a gradate student with Razorbacks, Evangelista assisted in the treatment and care of student-athletes for the men’s and women’s track & field and cross country teams, women’s soccer team, and the Razorbacks football team. Additionally, he completed a summer internship with the Razorbacks and assisted with care for all student-athletes. He also assistant with the facilitation and medical coverage for the various Gatorade camps.
Evangelista is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is certified youth mental health first aider.
He lives in Baton Rouge with his dog, Boomer, and enjoys trying new foods, watching sitcoms, cooking and baking.
