In January of 2026, Jordan Sims joined the LSU football program as a assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Sims previously served on the strength and conditioning staff at Ole Miss from 2022–25. Prior to returning to his alma mater in Oxford, Sims spent the 2021 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Utah State, following the 2020 season in the same role at the University of South Carolina. He gained additional experience as a strength and conditioning intern at Liberty University during the summer of 2019 and at the University of Kansas during the fall of 2019.

A former collegiate athlete, Sims played offensive line at Ole Miss, appearing in 47 games with 19 starts for the Rebels.

Originally from Homewood, Alabama, Sims earned his undergraduate degree in exercise science from Ole Miss in 2017 and later completed his master’s degree in health promotion from Ole Miss. During his time in Oxford, he was a member of both the Ole Miss Honor Roll and the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Sims holds both the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) credentials.
