Jon Pfeifer

Jon Pfeifer is entering his third year with the LSU Athletics Department after joining in January of 2022 as Director of Buildings and Grounds. In this role, he supervises the day-to-day operation of the facility maintenance staff, mechanics, custodians, sports turf crew and landscape crew comprised of over 40 full-time employees.

Jon came to LSU by way of Charlottesville, Va., where he attended Albemarle High School. He graduated from LSU in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Plant and Soil Systems. After spending two years as a student worker with the facilities and grounds department, he was offered a job by LSU upon graduation as a Horticultural Attendant.

In 2017, Jon left for the University of Houston to take over as the Head Sports Turf Manager.  After a little over a year an opportunity to return to LSU made Jon, the Assistant Sports Turf Manager. In October of 2019, Jon became the Sports Turf Manager for LSU.
