Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Ike played college football at Central Michigan University where he was a four-year captain and All-Conference player.

Brown went on to play five years of professional football in the NFL & CFL. At age 27, he retired from the CFL and transitioned into a new role as The Director of Player Development, and Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Tennessee where he was able to build his coaching style, and empower collegiate athletes through physical and personal development from 2013-18.

Brown returns to college football with LSU after serving four years as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and two years with the Forge FC soccer club.

His 10-plus years of experience working with NFL, CFL, and Pro-Soccer players helped lead his teams to back-to-back Grey Cup appearances and back-to-back CPL Soccer championships.
