Clarissa Lopez
Clarissa Lopez is entering her second year at LSU after joining the sports medicine staff in September of 2023 as an athletic training intern working with Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball and Volleyball.
Lopez graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a concentration in athletic medicine.
In 2019, she interned a full WNBA season with the Las Vegas Aces. She then earned a master’s degree in May of 2023 from the University of Texas at Arlington where her assignments included local high schools in Arlington, Track and Field at UTA in Spring of 2021, the first half of the WNBA season with the Dallas Wings in 2022, the second half of the WNBA season with Las Vegas Aces in 2022, and Southern Methodist University’s Football and Tennis teams in Spring of 2023.
Prior to joining the Tigers, Clarissa completed a season as an Athletic Training Apprentice with the Houston Astros Minor League High-A affiliate, the Asheville Tourists in North Carolina this summer shortly after graduating.
Lopez is a native of Houston, Texas. She enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to music, playing basketball, watching all sports, and spending time with her family.
