Ben Wilson

Ben Wilson enters his forth full season at LSU with two seasons filling the role of Sports Turf Coordinator and in the fall of 2019 being promoted to Assistant Sports Turf Manager. His responsibilities include maintaining all of the natural grass and artificial playing surfaces at LSU.

Wilson is a 2017 graduate of Clemson University majoring in Turfgrass Management. There, he worked as a member of the Clemson grounds crew for the entirety of his time as an undergraduate. During his college career he also worked as a volunteer at the 2015 Players Championship, and as an Assistant Superintendent of golf course operations at Mid-Carolina Club in his hometown.

At LSU, Wilson also works on a daily basis with the softball and soccer programs. During events at those facilities, he fills the role of facility manager.

During his professional career, Wilson has been a member of GCSAA (Golf Course Superintendents Association of America) and STMA (Sports Turf Managers Association) attending conferences annually.
