Amelia Thibodeaux
Amelia Thibodeaux enters her first year as Creative Content Graduate Assistant for the LSU Athletics Department. Thibodeaux is responsible for producing creative content for LSU’s nationally recognized athletics programs and platforms. Thibodeaux is the creative lead on Volleyball and Track & Field.
In her role, Thibodeaux produces a variety of content including television, social media, in-venue video board pieces, mobile app-based content and more. She collaborates with communications, social media, marketing and promotions teams to develop digital storytelling, features and messaging.
Thibodeaux comes to Baton Rouge after serving as the Championship Digital and Social Manager for the NCAA on both the Women’s Basketball and Soccer platforms. In this role, Thibodeaux was the primary lead for digital content creation and social media strategy, highlighting top moments and stories, focusing on audience engagement, and amplifying student-athlete voices. Thibodeaux was also the creative team lead for the 2021 Women’s College World Series.
Thibodeaux began her intercollegiate athletics career as a member of the LA Tech Women’s Soccer Team until 2019 and served as a video production assistant within the LA Tech Athletics Department until 2020. Thibodeaux also served as a Street Team Lead Intern in a Sports Marketing Internship during her time at LA Tech. In this role, she supervised marketing intern staff and led them through all gameday elements including promotions, giveaways, contests, Champs Kids Club, and halftime events.
Thibodeaux, a native of Lafayette, LA, is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Marketing in 2020 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mass Communications.
