Was a top-three finisher for LSU in four of the five meets competed in during his 2025 run… closed his season taking 77th at the NCAA South Central Regional with a personal-best time of 32:12.7… took 81st at the SEC Championships with a time of 25:20.3 in the 8k… clocked a personal-best time of 24:16.5 in the 8k at the Arturo Barrios Invitational… opened the season with a 5k PR of 14:46.5 to finish eighth at the Battle for NOLA… recorded a third-place finish at the LSU Invitational with a time of 12:15.3 in the 4k.
2024 (SOPHOMORE)
Competed in two meets during the 2024 season… opened the year with a 5k PR of 15:12.4 at the McNeese Season Opener to finish seventh… took seventh once again at the LSU Invitational with a 4k PR of 12:04.1.
2023 (FRESHMAN)
Did not compete.
PRIOR TO LSU – Blue Valley North HS
Sandler was a product of Blue Valley North HS in Leawood, Kansas… at the Kansas State Track & Field Championships on May 28, 2022, Sandler finished third in the 800 meter with a time of 1:58.03, earning him All-State honors… he held a personal-best time of 1:55.11 in the 800 meter which he posted at the Shawnee Mission North Relays on May 6, 2022… Sandler clocked a time of 4:20 in the 1600 meter during the 2023 indoor season.
PERSONAL
Born on May 26, 2005, in Overland Park, Kansas… son of Pamela and Todd Sandler… plans to pursue a degree in Kinesiology at LSU and hopes to earn a doctorate in physical therapy soon after.
