Completing yet another stellar cross country-season, Chesnut finished the year as just the third Tiger in program history to reach the NCAA Championships… at the NCAA Championships she finished with a 6k time of 21:28.7 in 196th place… finished in fourth at the NCAA South Central Regional with a personal-best time of 20:18.4 in the 6k… her fourth-place finish at regionals made her the highest regional finisher in program history, and gave her USTFCCCA All-Region honors… scored six times for LSU and was the highest finisher for the Tigers at four different meets… opened the season with a season-best second-place finish in the 4k at the UNO Opener with a PR of 13:44.0… took third at the FSU Invitational with a personal-best 5k time of 17:21.5… finished 35th in the 6k at the SEC Championships.
2022 (FRESHMAN)
Finished top-10 at three of five meets competed in… took seventh in her first collegiate meet with a time of 13:46.0 in the UNO Opener 4k… clocked a time of 17:36.3 in the 5k at the LSU Invitational to take fourth place… ran a 5k personal-best time of 17:25.7 at the FSU Invitational to finish fifth… scored for the Tigers at the SEC Championships with a personal-best time of 21:17.6 in the 6k… finished in 36th to score for the Tigers at the NCAA South Central Regional Championship with a time of 21:24.5 in the 6k.
PRIOR TO LSU – Vandebilt Catholic HS
Competed for Vandebilt Catholic HS… took home the 2021 Louisiana Class 4A State title, winning the 1600, 3200, and 4×800-meter relay… won the state 4A cross country title in 2021, taking 19th place as an individual… held a PR of 10:49 in the 3200m and 5:12 in the one mile.
