Played at the No. 2 position for most of her debut season at LSU, where she faced five Top 100 opponents … Played three matches at No. 1 and was 3-0 there … Was 10-8 at at No. 2 doubles with and 1-0 at No. 1 … Earned first varsity letter.

Transferred to LSU after spending her freshman season at the University of Missouri and her sophomore year at Tyler Community College … Finished the 2002 season as the No. 2 ranked junior college player in both singles and doubles competition … Played the No. 1 singles position as a freshman at Missouri and was named to the All-Big 12 Conference team after finishing with an impressive 19-12 record … Recorded two victories over top-100 ranked opponents with wins over Southern Methodist’s 52nd-ranked Dee Dee Herring and No. 82 Alena Jecminkova of Kansas State … Was a four-time Most Valuable Player at Oak Ridge High School
