Finished the season 2-1 in doubles play with Daysi Espinal … Played eight matches with a win over in-state rival Cecelia Varela of Louisiana-Lafayette … Rallied to beat Louisville’s Page Eber in a tie-breaker after falling behind 0-6 in the first set.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002-03)
Competed in 13 matches during the season … Recorded wins over Ohio State’s Emily Howard, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0(7), and Houston’s Sandra Blajer, 6-3, 6-3 … Finished the fall competition with a 1-1 mark in three-set matches and a 2-1 record in tiebreakers … Earned second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
Earned a spot on the roster after walking on and was listed as the Lady Tigers’ No. 7 singles player for much of the season … Started at the No. 6 singles position against Furman in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament … Provided much-needed depth for the Lady Tigers and added a competitive edge during practices … Earned her first varsity letter.

PRIOR TO LSU
Qualified for the Louisiana state finals in both her junior and senior seasons … Won the Regional Championship in 2001 … Played the No. 1 singles position all four years at New Iberia Senior High School under the tutelage of head coach JoAnne Eldridge … Named the captain of both the tennis and the volleyball teams … Was Valedictorian of her class … Was the president of the National Honor Society.
