Taylor Riley Season 2022-23
Daughter of one of the “Three Amigas” that won nine team titles for LSU and advanced to two NCAA finals in the mid/late 1990s joins the Tigers for the 2022-23 season.
PRIOR TO LSU
Attended Point Loma High School … Named All-California in 2019 and 2021 and All-League from 2018 through 2021 … Finished first in the 2021 City Conference Stroke Play Tournament after finishing second in 2020 … Tied for third in the 2021 California regional competition … Qualified for the USGA Junior Amateur Championship, earning medalist honors in the New Mexico qualifier with a round of 69 … Finished T5 in the CIF San Diego High School Championship in 2021 … Won the San Diego High School girls city championship in October 2021 in a field of 66, shooting an even par 72 … Won a total of eight first place competition in 2021 … Played two years of softball at Point Loma, playing shortstop and outfield … Team won softball league championship her freshman year, earning all-league honors that season.

Born on Sept. 2, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada … Right handed … Member of the Honor Roll and National Honor Society … Parents are Chris Riley and Michelle Louviere Riley … Michelle played golf at LSU from 1995-98, a big part of getting the Tigers to two NCAA Top 10 team finishes in 1996 and 1998 … Her father Chris, the head golf coach at the University of San Diego, is a former PGA Tour star with two Tour wins and was a member of the 2004 Ryder Cup team for the United States … In coming to LSU, Riley cited “the amazing culture here at LSU, the coaching staff, facilities and the great education. I have always been a huge LSU fan” … Hopes to major in occupational therapy or sports management … Likes to go to the beach and spend time with family to relax … Favorite food is pasta and favorite dessert is “anything chocolate” … Favorite professional golfer is Justin Thomas … Favorite athlete outside golf is American Olympic gold medalist Sydney McLaughlin.
