#25 Takyla Brown Season 2026

FRESHMAN SEASON (2025)
Played in 86 sets and made 10 starts in the 25 matches she appeared in…averaged 4.65 assists per set (400 total) and tallied 129 digs, four blocks, two aces and a kill…had four double-doubles on the season…had season-highs of 35 assists and two blocks against Auburn (Nov. 14)…dug a season-best 13 balls against Mississippi State (Oct. 31)…landed her first career kill against No. 23 Florida (Oct. 5).

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year setter at Weiss High School in Pflugerville, Texas…a Prep Volleyball All-American with a school record 3,780 career assists…ranked No. 2 in the state of Texas and No. 12 in the nation according to MaxPreps and is a three-time First Team Academic All-District selection…played club volleyball for Austin Junior Volleyball.

PERSONAL
Daughter of Tarell Brown and Erica Maldonado…has four siblings named Edric, Isabella, Tariah and Amira…dad played football at the University of Texas and was a member of the National Championship team that played in the 2006 Rose Bowl against USC…brother Edric played football at Texas Southern University.
