2022-2023 SEC First-Year Honor Roll

Played in 27 matches and appeared in 95 sets in lone season with LSU…averaged 1.99 kills per set (189 total) to reach 1,292 career kills…in 2022, logged a .207 hitting percentage, and totaled 58 blocks to average 2.31 points per set…registered a career-high .667 hitting percentage with 10 kills on 15 errorless swings at Tulane (Sept. 17)…landed a season-high 15 kills against Houston (Aug. 26) and totaled seven blocks against Rice (Aug. 27).

Jacobs played four years at Southern Methodist University (SMU) from 2018-2021 where she is a two-time All-American Athletic Conference selection (2019, 2021). The outside hitter led the Mustangs in kills in 2021 with 334 kills and a .209 hitting percentage, as well as pacing the Ponies in 2019 with 355 kills and had a 3.38 kills per set. Jacobs eclipsed 1,000 career kills last season against East Carolina University (October 31). The New Braunfels, Texas native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physiology and Health Management and will be studying to receive her master’s degree in Sports Management at LSU.

Played at New Braunfels High School and averaged 4.6 kills per set behind a .320 hitting percentage her senior season…led her team to a 30-14 record and a second-round appearance in the Texas State Tournament.

Daughter of Steve and Nika Jacobs … has a brother named Grant … has an uncle named Mitch Kupchak that played basketball at UNC (1972-76) and played in the NBA for the Bullets and Lakers and is currently on the executive staff with the Charlotte Hornets.
