CAREER
Ortega had 3,212 career assists, 804 digs, 106 kills, 47 aces and 39 blocks…Ortega was one of seven active SEC setters in 2024 with 3,000 career assists.

GRADUATE SEASON (2024)
Started in all 27 matches and played all 103 sets in her lone season at LSU…concluded the regular season ranked No. 7 in the SEC with 10.08 assists per set and her 1,038 assists made her the first LSU setter to record over 1,000 assists in a season since 2017…also recorded 61 kills, 24 blocks, five aces and averaged 2.24 digs per set (230 total)…registered seven double-doubles, including a stretch of three consecutive double-doubles from Oct. 25-Nov. 3…her first double-double at LSU was in the season opener where she finished with 55 assists and 11 digs…turned in four matches with 50 or more assists, including a career-high 58 helpers versus Troy (Aug. 31)…also had a career-best four blocks against Troy, four kills six different matches, and 17 digs against Florida International (Sept. 6).

PRIOR TO LSU
Reached 2,000 career assists during her time at Iowa … in 2023, she totaled 592 assists, 182 digs, 21 kills and eight aces … concluded her career at Iowa ranking No. 9 all-time with 2,174 career assists … other career totals include 574 digs, 45 kills, 42 aces and 15 blocks, including one solo block … is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

PERSONAL
Daughter of Mike and Shelly Ortega … has an older brother named Blain who played basketball at St. Ambrose University … mother played basketball at Western Illinois University … graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport and recreation management from Iowa … Bailey is pursuing a master’s degree in leadership and human resource development.
