After serving as a practice player for LSU Volleyball for two years, Mason Arnold began as the Tigers’ Volunteer Assistant Coach in January of 2021. He will work primarily with the offense, specifically with all attacking positions as well scouting opponents and managing the scout team.

Arnold has three summers worth of coaching experience and many more years of playing experience. Throughout the summers of 2018-2020 he coached camps and clinics with Next Level Athletes in the Chicago area, helping players of all skillsets develop the necessary tools to become great volleyball players.

The Lombard, Illinois, native played club volleyball during his time as an LSU student and started for the Tigers for three seasons as well as being named a captain, playing as both a setter and outside-hitter. Showing leadership both on and off the court, he served as the team’s treasurer for one season and the vice-president the next two years.

Arnold played volleyball at Glenbard East High School and was a two-year varsity starter at setter and right-side, earning all-conference honors both years. He was named a team captain before being named team MVP as a senior. He played three years of club volleyball in the Chicago area as well.
