Lawrence reached new heights and solidified himself as the top DIII javelin thrower, as well as one of the top throwers in all collegiate divisions combined… finished on top of the mountain as the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Champion for javelin throw, setting a new personal-best distance of 72.14 meters (236’ 8”)… his new PR ranks fifth in NCAA DIII history… crowned the WIAC Outdoor Champion for the second year in a row in javelin… took first at the Drake Relays in javelin… finished first at the UW-Platteville Invitational in javelin… USTFCCCA DIII All-American (JT)… USTFCCCA DIII All-Region North… WIAC (DIII) Champion (JT).

2022 OUTDOOR (FRESHMAN AT UW-PLATTEVILLE)
Concluded his first season with runner-up finish in javelin throw at the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championships, reaching a PR of 66.03 meters (216’ 8”)… crowned the WIAC Outdoor Championships’ javelin throw champion with a throw of 60.69 meters (199’ 1”)… finished first at the UW-Platteville Invitational in javelin throw… recorded a long jump personal best of 6.40 meters (21’ 0”) to take fourth at the 29th Annual Meet of Champions… also took first in javelin at the same meet… opened the year with a third-place finish in javelin at the UW-Platteville Opener… finished fifth in javelin at the Ashton May Invitational and UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative… USTFCCCA DIII All-American (JT)… USTFCCCA DIII All-Region North… WIAC (DIII) Champion (JT).

Lawrence was a 2021 graduate of Benton High School, where he was a track and field, basketball and football standout for the Zyphers.

Born September 19, 2001, in Benton, WI… son of Lisa and Rick Lawrence… has two siblings – Emma and Nate… plans to pursue a degree in religion studies at LSU.
