Came to LSU as one of the top jumps prospects in the state of Louisiana … Enjoyed a prolific high school career during which he won a state title in the triple jump in 2004 … Took second place in the event during the outdoor season as a senior … Also played football and basketball at St. James High School … Led both his track and field and basketball teams to district championships during his career.
